*UPDATE ON FUNERAL LOCATION FROM FAMILY*
The funeral location is now at St. Lambertus, Marktplatz D-51081 Bedburg. Date and time remain the same: June 18th at 11a.m. This location offers a bigger and more beautiful spot to celebrate the life of Jenny Ducoffre.
“Due to the numerous requests for flowers, wreaths, and funeral donations, we would like to ask you to instead transfer an amount of your choice to the following donation account, Britta Ducoffre, IBAN: DE22440100460709031461 labeled “Jenny”.
In coordination with her closest friends and family, we will receive the money and then donate 100% to a good cause that would be in Jenny’s spirit. Thank you for your understanding & overwhelming sympathy!”
Jenny Ducoffre‘s talents put her in the stratosphere of icons, but yet to those who knew her in the show jumping community, she was the horse show mom. Not only was she the ever-present caring figure to her horses, but she also extended that to the humans around her.
For over a decade at the highest levels of show jumping, Jenny exemplified the grit, hard work, and energy needed to excel in the craft of grooming. Through that, she earned the respect of fellow grooms, organizers, and riders alike. She was awarded the Best Grooms Award several times – at Hickstead (England) and Indoor Friesland, Leeuwarden (the Netherlands). And she took her charges to the highest levels in the sport, with her beloved Igor earning team gold and individual bronze at the 2019 FEI European Championships with Jos Verlooy up.
Beyond her personal accomplishments, she helped those around her. With her special concoctions, like “miracle water,” and her decades-long background, she felt passionate about sharing her horsemanship knowledge to the next generation or to contemporaries who had questions.
The loss of Jenny is immeasurable to those who knew her and those who won’t be fortunate to know her. HorseGrooms was asked by several people to provide a means of bringing us together as a community to honor her. So, we invite you to share your own “Jenny memories” on this memorial page. Post about a favorite memory, share a photo or leave a small note—whatever feels right to you.
Thank you to Enviro Equine & Pet for covering all expenses related to the book’s printing and the upkeep of the memorial wall.
Jenny’s funeral will take place at 11 a.m. on June 18 at St. Lambertus, Marktplatz D-51081 Bedburg, Germany. Her family invites all friends, all who loved and valued her, to attend. Flower and flower wreaths can be organized and ordered at Blumen Dietz (+491735111882 td@dietzblumen.de).

The horse world is a close knit thing! It send ripples far and wide. I didn’t know you, but may you truly rest in peace….
Although I didn’t personally know Jenny, as an x Groom, I can appreciate the hard work and dedication she most definitely gave to her employer and his horses.
Grooming is not “a job”, but ” a lifestyle”. Only those who are mad about horses understand this.
Well done Jenny, I can see you were at the top of your career and very highly thought of.
May you rest in peace and rise in glory.
My deepest condolences to family and all those who knew you.
Ros.
