Healthy Eating Tips for Busy Horse Grooms

tips for healthy eating

We all know that eating well, healthy, and regularly is not easy in the horse grooming business. But with some small and smart adjustments and preparations, getting into a healthy eating habit is easier than you might think!

Kimberly Maloomian is a registered dietitian and an avid amateur equestrian. Exclusively for the HorseGrooms community, she has written a few blogs about healthy eating with the always busy and traveling grooms in mind. Don’t miss it, because she shares some really inventive advice!

Note: Kimberly Maloomian lives in the United States; therefore, her examples and tips are mostly based on U.S. situations, customs, and grocery stores. But that doesn’t mean these articles are not interesting if you are from another continent. They contain a lot of wisdom and smart tips that you can translate to your personal situation.

We have divided her tips into seven articles:

  1. Quick, Smart & Healthy Grocery Shopping
  2. Nutritious Snacks That Don’t Take Much Time to Prepare
  3. Packing Healthy Food For A Few Days
  4. How to Work Protein Drinks Into Your Day
  5. What (Not) to Drink
  6. What Should Always – or Maybe Never – Be on a Food Label
  7. How Often to Eat
